Guided tour of the Montreal Gazette
Residents of Westmount One got a behind the scenes look at the presses of The Montreal Gazette. The residents were amazed at the size and complexity of the Gazette's operation. Computer controlled and very different from the presses of old that were dirty and very noisy.

Talent Show Fundraiser
A fundraiser was held to assit in financing an opthamology resident-doctor's travels to Soloy, Panama to volunteer at a local health clinic. The objective of her trip is to bring donated eye glass frames, medical supplies and medical textbooks to the local clinic. She will also be assisting the local health care professionals in screening and educating the local population about eye care. In addition she will be actively involved in the healthcare management of the local population, teaching English and the basics of good sanitation.

Twelve lovely models take to the runway
A packed house greeted residents on September 25th, 2007 for a benefit fashion show in aid of the Alzheimer's Society of Montreal. The models, all residents of Westmount One, ranged in age from 76 to 95 years young, and all looked absolutely fabulous in outfits provided by Boutique Tout Pour Vous. The mood was upbeat and festive and the audience was truly entertained from beginning to end. (See all photos).The Alzheimer Society was thrilled by the $2,000 cheque presented to them at the evenings end. THANK YOU LADIES YOU WERE ALL WONDERFUL!

Outings have never been so easy
Westmount One's private air conditioned bus offers transportation in comfort and style to various outings at least one or twice weekly. Such adventures include shopping excursions , trips to the casino, The Planetarium, Botanical Gardens, plays, lunches and picnics, etc. Our residents make suggestions as to what outings are of interest to them.
